Expired products- Why not to use them!

Before I start this blog post, I would like to say, that everything I am showing you here is not expired, these are just examples :)

Okay, so this is a blog post about expired products, and why you shouldn't use them. (Make up, lotion, hand cream ect.)

This was requested from someone via Twitter, and by the way (getting off subject again) once my blog has become more popular THEN I will make a twitter account:)

Okay then, so I did some research, and I had an expired product myself (it is thrown away now) and I put it on my wrist to find, a rash about 1 hour later. (This is also showing you some of my favorite products to use, and if I would recommend them to anyone :))

So lets get started! We will start with lotions.

Okay so this lotion I am showing you here:

Is called Wonder, body lotion. I got it for my birthday, which the giver got from the Disney Store, and don't ask me the price because I have no idea haha :)

This is an amazing product I would really recommend it for people with really sensitive skin (like me)!

Okay, so, this product expires on November 15th 2013! (12M) and do you ever wonder what would happen if you used an expired lotion on your body? Well I wouldn't recommend it.
You would either get a serious rash, if you have sensitive skin, or you could catch some sort of a illness.

The next Lotion (and the last lotion) is a mini lotion:

This, I also got as a present, but what I do know is that the giver got it from the Card Shop.
This is the Pretty in Pink collections (Came in a set with Shower Gel, bubble bath, and this body lotion) body lotion.
Usually, mini body lotions last a little longer, but this one lasted as long as the Wonder body lotion. Though, I got this in Marsh 2013, so it expires in March 2014 (12M)

I would definitely recommend this, it smells and works amazing, this has real rose in it, and is smells really floraly  :)
It is perfect to just throw in your bag, and take every where with you, and if your skin is feeling kind of dry, then just use this and it will feel refreshed and smooth.

So what DOES happen when you use expired lotion? Well, you will know when it's expired when it gets all watery, or gloopy, or has bumps in it (the more mature way of saying it xD)

How let's go onto moisturizer!

This is my favorite moisturizer!
This is the Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Like Moisturizer! This is my favorite! It is really cheap, but works well! It was about $4.99 and that is cheap for a moisturizer. I was walking through the shop, and I passed this one, and I thought it wouldn't have been very good because it's so cheap! I passed a few others, and I was so SHOCKED at the prices, I saw some moisturizers that were in the tiniest jars, that were like $41.99 so I came back to this one, and it was MUCH better than all the others! I loved it!

This expires in May 2014 (9M) and that is a lot for a moisturizer, considering it is quite a thin consistency. I had gotten this from boots. :)

Using this if it is expired basically the same at a lotion. You will get a rash, and some sort of illness.

Next is Nail polish remover-

I use Nail polish Remover without Acetone, because Acetone damages your nails! (If you want to learn about my healthy nail's routine, please comment down below).
Nothing much happens to expired nail polish remover, all it does is all the chemicals and alcohol in it separate and it doesn't work anymore.
I got this from my local Pharmacy

Next is hand Cream :)

I use 3 hand creams, and I will ONLY use these three because they work really well for me!

Here is the first one :)

One of the hand creams I use is the Vaseline Hand Cream + Anti- Bac because it's great if you are on the go, you can just pop it in your bag, and if your hands get dirty, then you can pop some of this on, and you are cleaning them while also moisturizing them. I got this from Sainsbury's xD :)

Next one is:

My wonder hand cream!

Obviously, I got this in a set with my Wonder body lotion, and it basically works the same... AMAZING!
I love this product and would definitely recommend it to people like me (sensitive skin) and it's perfect for dry skin also :)
I got this product as a gift :)

Next and last Hand cream is--

My Vaseline Healthy Hands+ Stronger nails. What I love about this one, is the consistency, it is amazing! And I love the way it smells also, it has this clean fresh smell, and I put this on every single time I remove my nail polish, because it re hydrates them, and makes them look healthy :)
This product expires 12M after you purchase it :)
I bought this product at my local Pharmacy:)

Right, I would like to talk to you about my concealer!

I use the--

Rimmel London-Hide the Blemish Concealer! This stuff is A-MAZ-ING II love it so much!
Want to hear a little trick? Buy a concealer a few shades lighter than your skin tone, to brighten under your eyes and make you look more awake! I use the shade Ivory, but I have recently been using the shade Soft Honey, because my skin has gotten darker during the summer.
This concealer lasts for 2 years (24M) and I have been using it for about 6M and I love it, it's the best concealer I have ever used, and I wouldn't swap it for anything! <3
I purchased this, again, at my local Pharmacy :)

Now lets go onto Blush!

My favorite blush at the moment is the---

Rimmel (this is my favorite make up brand) London Blush in the shade Madeira!
Blush is a powder, so even if it expires, it just won't work as well, but if It causes a rash, then i would give it up.
I change out my blushes every 2 years, because since I have sensitive skin, it would give me a rash.
I stole this from my mum xD

Next is make up wipes :)

The make up wipes I use are--

Simple Kind to skin Cleansing Facial Wipes.
The thing that brought me to the simple brand, is that is says 'Kind to skin' and we all are familiar to the fact that I have sensitive skin xD So I was so happy when I found these!
These are amazing because it has a light smell, it is really kind to my skin (haha)
But these expire in 6M and I bought them yesterday... I have plenty of time to use them.
They come with 25 make up wipes, and this is an AMAZING product, and I would definitely recommend it for people like me :)

Next is Eye shadow!

My favorite pallet at the moment is--

The Beautify 120 color eyeshadow pallet!
This I NEED to tell you ! I got this off amazon, and they were having a HUGE sale, and this pallet was originally $120 but I got it for $3.50 xOOOO Can you believe that!?
But anyway, this expires in 36M, which is a long time and it's amazing! I love eyeshadow the most!
The only thing that happens when it expires, is it goes all crumbly (and again with the sensitive skin, I need to change my eyeshadows every time it expires!!

And if you don't like buying expensive eye shadows, here is a really cheap one!:

I got this in a magazine xD
But I kept it for only one color, the top right one.
It looks dark, but it's really sheer PERFECT for an everyday look! <3

Now I'm going to go onto mascara!

You MUST i re peat MUST change your mascara's every 3 months... well, at least I do.

Expired Mascara irritates my eyes, and I need to go buy a new one every 3 months I just have to!
This one IS expired, but don't worry, I threw it away after taking this photo! <3

Next is body butters, and my two favorite body butters are--

The Body Shop Body Butter in Coconut, and Soap and Glory Body Butter!

The size of the Soap and Glory body butter is unbelievable! It is an AMAZING body butter, and I would definitely re purchase it, it is amazing for dry and sensitive skin, and it is a really thick consistency, and how much product you get, is awesome! <3
The Body Shop body butter is amazing also, but you don't get that much product, and I paid about $12.00 for it, but it sure would last me a long time!
I would re purchase the Soap and Glory body butter, but The Body Shop one is also really good, but really expensive also <3
(Expired Body Butters also do the same as body lotions)

Last but not least Lib Balms!!!

These are some of my favorite lipbalms to use! <3
The owl lip balm was a gift :)
Both of my Vaselines I got from my local Pharmacy
My NSPA Candyfloss cloud I got from Asda
All my born lippy's are from the Body Shop (comment if you would like to see a review)
My Miss YU lipbalm is from next
My sweet lips in peach was a gift :)
My nivea honey and milk is from The drugstore
and my Carmex was also a gift :)
All of these are amazing, but the owl one i'm not too sure of. it's a sticky consistency, and it smells a bit iffy.
But you would know if a lipbalm was expired, it would be all dry, and your lips would become even MORE dry and chappy.

Thank you so much for taking your time to read this. I hope you enjoyed it, and if you have any requests, then leave it below.
See you next time! Byee! <3
